Each square or tile compares the average of the latest window with the window just before it. A change inside the steady band (by default ±1 dB for audio, ±10% for search interest and ±2% for prices) counts as steady. You can change each band in Detail.

Audio level is RMS loudness in dBFS (0 is the loudest a recording can go; a quiet room is around −60). Browser echo cancellation, noise suppression and auto-gain are off so they don't flatten the trend. Microphone history is saved in this browser, so long windows keep filling across reloads.

Google Trends reports search interest from 0 to 100, scaled separately for each time range, so each window compares two halves of one fetch. The still-filling latest hour, day or week is left out.

Stock prices are daily closes from Nasdaq's public data: US-listed stocks and ETFs, Nasdaq indices (COMP, NDX) and crypto (BTC, ETH). Stock windows count trading days, so a week is 5 trading days and a year 252; crypto trades every day, so it uses calendar days.

Both data feeds use unofficial endpoints and can be rate-limited. Your dashboard is saved in this browser.

Put Trend Setter on your home screen

Tap Share. In Safari it can be inside the ••• menu.
Choose Add to Home Screen.
Tap Add.

In Safari's menu bar, choose File › Add to Dock.
Click Add.

It opens in its own window like an app. Your dashboard and microphone history stay on this device, and the last data loaded is there when you're offline.
